Woke up this morning and was browsing my timeline in facebook. Came across Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan's facebook page and saw the photo above.
I think it is fantastic for a minister and UMNO leader to openly show his support towards towards Gaza that is now in a midst of genocide being perpetrated by Israel.
Not only that, Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan is one of the few UMNO leaders who had an audience with HE Dr Anwar H. Al-Agha, the Palestinian ambassador to Malaysia where they had discussed on various topics including the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and also the genocide that is taking place now.
Subsequent from that meeting, Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan then invited HE Dr. Anwar H. Al-Agha to Sabah where he was one of the guest of honor at Datuk Rahman's raya open house.
Personally I think the visit by the Palestinian ambassador to Sabah provided an opportunity for Dr. Anwar to directly share his views with the people on Sabah with regards to the Palestinian conflict. Not many people would have had thwt opportunity.
Lastly, I pray and hope that the genocide and killing in Gaza will stop so that our Palestinian brothers and sisters could have a normal life like how all of us are here in Malaysia.
We Malaysians take for granted the peace and stability that we have and hopefully it can/will be a long lasting one.
