Referring to the article by a few news portal (Read HERE & HERE) Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the lab will be set up to review the people’s living cost and to give targeted assistance to the needy.
He said the lab will be set up early next year.
“The lab will look at the cost of living and will come up with solutions and recommendations. The recommendations will then be tabled in the Cabinet after finalised,” he told Astro AWANI.
Apart from that, the lab will also look at programmes and policies that could be implemented to reduce the cost of living.
If i am not mistaken, there has been a lot of labs done previously under PEMANDU, but did any of you who are reading this entry benefit from it? I know i did not. In addition, this lab cost a lof of money (taxpayers money) which means money from you and me. The deliverable of this lab is as what our YB said "will come up with solutions and recommendations". How sure are we the recommendation proposed by this lab will be accepted by the cabinet?
Can the minister or his aides provide a detail breakdown of the following:
1) Number of labs done since PEMANDU was established
2) The cost for each lab
3) Number of recommendations proposed by PEMANDU from these lab sessions
4) Number of recommendation proposed by PEMANDU and ACCEPTED by the Cabinet
With the above data, then only we (the taxpayers) can be convinced that this Labs really work and not a "syiok sendiri" program by Pemuda UMNO & PEMANDU just to meet their KPIs without any tangible benefits to the rakyat.
I rest my case..
Kepada ALLAH swt kami berserah.
