PAS has finally nominated three of its executive councillors for the Selangor menteri besar post, defying its allies, PKR and DAP, which submitted only Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail’s name to the palace.
The Star Online reported that the letter, which bore the signature of PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, contained the names of Iskandar Abdul Samad, Sallehin Mukhyi and Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi.
The letter was sent before yesterday's deadline set by Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, who had decreed that each of the three Pakatan Rakyat parties submit more than two names. – September 4, 2014.
