@VellPaari : Dr. Mahathir is now a flip-flop politician #Negaraku #Malaysia

Press Statement
Datuk Seri S. Vell Paari

1. I refer to the recent statement made by Dr. Mahathir Mohamad in Japan, where he is now making a major U - Turn by courting China to join a new economic pact agreement with Asia countries, similar to the role played by the United States in signing the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) previously during the administration of Barack Obama.

2. Dr. Mahathir U-turn comes after he criticized China for the country's investment in Malaysia, particularly in Forest City, Johor and Tun Razak Exchange, two of our country biggest development and infrastructure projects. What Dr. Mahathir said in Japan comes as no surprise. He has been consistently changing his stands on various topics/issues be it in politics or economics. This started early on about 18 months ago when he started to attack the Prime Minister.

3. Dr. Mahathir is what we can describe as a “flip-flop” politician who cannot seem to make his mind up on various issues such as BR1M, GST, candidate for Prime Ministership, investment by China and various other topics. I am sure he is also aware that he has been flip-flopping on all the topics above but he does not care what the public thinks of him as long as he gets to bring down a democratically elected leader in Datuk Seri Haji Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak.

4. The rakyat also has now come to realize that they cannot rely on Dr. Mahathir. Even the opposition parties I believe have doubts in the partnership that they have with Dr. Mahathir. When he announced that he was willing to be considered as a Prime Minister candidate. PAN and DAP kept quiet and only PKR objected. Why is this so?  This are the questions that the rakyat are also asking and with all this infighting in the opposition, nobody in their sane mind will vote for the opposition in the next GE.

5. As for BN, the Prime Minister has been continuing his good work and infact due to all this good policies by the government, the World Bank has revised upwards its growth projection for Malaysia by 0.6 percentage points to 4.9 per cent for this year, citing solid economic activities. Due to all this, I am very confident that BN will be voted into power with a bigger majority as the confidence of the rakyat has now returned to BN.
