The contractors of the Ampang Line LRT Line Extension Project (LEP) have recently completed the re-pavement of the roads along the Bukit Jalil Highway and Jalan Puchong near Puchong Perdana and Puchong Prima to ensure safer and more comfortable travel for motorists.
The roads were peppered with potholes earlier due to movements of heavy vehicles and poor weather. Prasarana Malaysia Berhad’s Group Director of Project Development Division, Dato’ Ir. Zohari Sulaiman said the contractors had to adopt the mill and pave re-pavement method as past re-patching of roads could not last due to high traffic, frequent movements of heavy vehicles, and poor weather. Zohari added that the contractors had wanted to re-pave the roads earlier but were hampered by various factors including poor weather.
“Nevertheless, we are pleased that the re-pavement is finally completed and would like to thank the motorists for their patience and understanding in bearing with the temporary inconvenience. We would also like to give our reassurance that all roads affected by the LRT construction will be rectified to ensure public safety and convenience.” said Zohari.
In addition to re-paving the roads, the contractors also reinstalled the street lights in Puchong Prima and Puchong Perdana.
