My Thoughts of A Hard Rock Cafe in #Putrajaya #KLChronicle

"I have invited Tan Sri Syed Yusof to open Hard Rock Cafe in Putrajaya and he has agreed to do so", - Tan Sri Aseh

A lot has been said and discussed in various forums with respect to the statement made by Tan Sri Aseh that Hard Rock Cafe will be opening its doors in Putrajaya in a few months time.

Personally I don't see opening Hard Rock Cafe in Putrajaya as an issue. Talk that it goes against the Islamic reputation that Putrajaya currently demonstrates is way out of the mark. A cafe does not dilute your Islamic image one bit.

Secondly there is a concern that Hard Rock Cafe sells liquor and "what if" liquor is sold to Muslims. Well then put it as a requirement that Hard Rock Cafe Putrajaya is barred from selling liquor to Muslims. Put a sign at the bar to make everybody aware of the ruling.

Sometimes people take we Muslims for granted and assume that we cant think for ourselves.  I personally think this assumption is an insult to all of us. The days of the government knows best is over and let the people decide how they want to live their life.  Too much restrictions will make people more agitated and thus increase in hostility towards the government.

Just my 2 kupang thoughts on a sunny Sunday morning ;)
