Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will provide a new site for traders of a night market at a four-storey flat in Kampung Kerinchi, here, after the area was closed off for a redevelopment project.
Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin said they were in the process of finalising the new site. He said currently, the traders involved were selling by the road shoulder, which obstructed traffic and caused the public to complain.
The proposed new site is situated at the car park of a 17-storey flat not far from the current site, he told a news conference after presenting contributions to future haj pilgrims in Lembah Pantai, here today.
"The car park will be modified, but it all depends on the consent of the flat residents. Let DBKL make the decision," he added. — Bernama

where exactly the pasar malam will be relocated? there's also another one pasar malam located near this kerinchi pasar malam ( around 5-10min drive). bukan sahaja peniaga depend on this pasar malam sebagai sumber kewangan..i think as universiti malaya student, we also love to buy at pasar malam for dinner because they sell cheaper than universiti's food stall
