A 19-year-old freelance model has surrendered to police here today to help with investigations into the incident where several participants of a Merdeka Eve gathering in Kuala Lumpur stepped on photographs of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
The girl, from Taman Puteri Wangsa here, arrived at the central police station at about 11am. She was accompanied by lawyer Norman Fernandez and several friends.
She was brought out of the police station in handcuffs at about 1pm and taken in a car to Kuala Lumpur.
Norman, who is also Johor DAP deputy chairman, said the girl decided to surrender after police had published pictures of several people allegedly involved in the incident.
KL CHRONICLE
We have said time and again, this heinous behavior of stepping on the community leader's is propagated by DAP. Again today they have showed that they SUPPORT this kind of behavior. Still want to deny?
