The local online scene has been buzzing today when a cache of photos has been making it rounds showing an opposition Member of Parliament (MP) and a Political Secretary showing "affection" for each other. The pictures clearly goes against the basic teaching and culture of Malaysian society. Speaking to a few people this morning, most of them showed their dismay with the actions of the MP and demanded that the MP step down from his post.
The Political Secretary was a high flyer in her party and was even nominated to be a candidate in one of the recent by-election but she lost. She was also one of a few young breeds in the party who was actively seeking to recruit Malay Muslim member to join her and her party. The slogan that she always use is that in her party everybody is free to do what they want without any restrictions as they respects human rights.
Well, now i understand clearly what she means.
