Two German tourists were attacked by a group of unknown men at a nightclub in Upper Penang Road here.
The tourists, both students aged 24, were said to have been dancing when they were assaulted by four to six men who pushed them, causing them to fall on the floor. They were then kicked repeatedly and pelted with bottles in the 1.30am incident on Thursday.
One of the tourists received eight stitches near his right eyebrow and also suffered bruises on his head.
The other person is being currently warded at the Penang Hospital for cerebral concussion.
