#KLChronicle : I still don't get it why Anwar is so afraid of Shafee Abdullah. Shafee is just a practicing lawyer in the country like any other. Maybe it is because Anwar is not confident in his lawyers capability thus he needs to disqualify Shafee to ensure he wins this sodomy case. I wonder what will Karpal Singh, Gobind Singh, Sankara Nair and their ilk think of this action by Anwar Ibrahim. Anwar has clearly demonstrated that he does not trust his lawyers.
Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (pic) has failed in his final bid to stop Umno lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah from prosecuting the sodomy case fixed for hearing at the Court of Appeal tomorrow.
This means Putrajaya’s appeal against Anwar’s acquittal of a sodomy charge will be heard over two days starting tomorrow.
A five-man Federal Court bench chaired by Tan Sri Abdull Hamid Embong this afternoon which dismissed Anwar's stay application said there were no exceptional circumstances. – March 5, 2014.
