The Federal Territories UMNO Youth would like to congratulate and say thank you to Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor for listening to the grouses of the rakyat and not increasing the assessment rates in Kuala Lumpur for 2014. 

The recent announcement by YB Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Bin Tengku Mansor that residential property owners will not be paying more than an additional 10% over what they have been paying before is something that all KL folks will appreciate. Furthermore this shows that the FT minister takes into consideration all the feedback and complaints received from 153,187 residents of Kuala Lumpur and tries to find a win-win situation for both parties.

Revised assessment rates 

In addition, I also welcome the announcement by the FT minister that special incentives in the form of rebates will be given to the disabled, retirees and to property owners who are living in their properties. This clearly demonstrates the sincerity of the Government to help targeted groups and ensures that they are not affected by the new assessment rates.

Finally,  I hope DBKL will continue to provide good and efficient service to the rakyat so that we all can benefit more living in Kuala Lumpur.
