The action taken by former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad in pushing for the ouster of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Haji Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak is irresponsible and dissapointing. The fact that Tun Dr Mahathir is now working with the opposition shows that he has lost support within UMNO & Barisan Nasional.
Let us not forget that Dr. Mahathir, during his tenure as PM also faced such calls for his resignation. But he choose to step down when he was ready to do so. Not a minute earlier.
The allegations thrown by Dr. Mahathir today against the PM are all recycled allegations that is being played by the Wall Street Journal, Sarawak Reports etc without any proof whatsoever. Basically It is a criminal conspiracy with the aid of both local and foreign elements to bring down an elected PM and his government.
So my humble advice to Dr. Mahathir, if you are of the opinion that our Prime Minister is not a good UMNO President then you should have taken him on via UMNO polls or use the party's internal mechanism to champion your cause.
However, since you are no longer an UMNO member and have joined your newly found friends in the opposition, you can take on DS Najib Razak and BN in the next General Election and let Malaysians decide if they want a BN led DS Najib Razak or Dr. Mahathir.
