TERESA KOK: NO OFFICIAL COMPLAINTS, NO VISIT

On the 30th of January 2012, I wrote an open article criticizing Seputeh Member of Parliament (MP), Teresa Kok for her ignorance and elegant absence from her constituency i.e. Seputeh. The article was then picked up by The Mole on its website and published on the 3rd of February 2012.

Thanks to the admin of The Mole, Teresa Kok responded to my article. Some “interesting” responses are in point form below:

1. Teresa Kok said she never received official complaints from Taman Desa stallholders whose stalls were damaged during a storm last month.

2. Admitted to have yet to visit any of them.

The full response can be read here.

Subsequent to her response, my comments are as below:

She never received official complaints from Taman Desa stallholders whose stalls were damaged during a storm last month.

As a MP, she should have shown some humility and responsibility by attending to those affected residence since she admitted that her assistants were there. Giving excuse that no official complaints were received thus implying ignorance is totally RUBBISH and smack of arrogance from this MP. How can at one point she said that her assistants were there, and at the same time never received any official complaints?

Admitted to have yet to visit any of them

The storm that hit Taman Desa was on the 25th of January 2012. The response from Teresa Kok was received on the 3rd of February 2012. This shows that even after 9 DAYS she has not even visited the affected residence!! This show how incompetent this MP is, with all promises during election a mere rhetoric to attract votes and win the election. If she was really concerned with the welfare and wellbeing of the affected residence, the least she could do was visit this area once she got back from her sweet vacation.

Enjoying yourself?
However, I would like to also highlight that Teresa Kok said that her assistants visited the Chinese food court that was damaged (my article said it was she who visited), I wonder why the Chinese food court but not the Malay gerai’s opposite the plus tower?

On another note, i would like to praise the efforts taken by Federal Territories Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin, on his prompt action in visiting the people of Lembah Pantai (without waiting for official complaints like Teresa Kok). The minister also has pledged assistance to the affected residence by ensuring that City Hall and the Federal Territories Ministry would repair all the affected homes. Pictures below shows Dato Raja at the scene assisting residence in PPR Sri Cempaka.

Conclusion

We have two major parties in the country, Barisan Nasional (BN) and Pakatan Rakyat (PR, albeit not officially registered).

IF we vote PR/DAP, we the RAKYAT have to beg and submit an official complaint to our MP, before she would consider visiting and helping us.

IF we vote BN/UMNO, without any official complaints, even the minister comes down to visit the rakyat and provide assistance if there is any emergencies.

Well i have sort of made up my mind, how about you guys ?
