Tan Sri Shahrizat: Choose either BN-led govt or @LimKitSiang -led govt #kekalNajib #UMNO #PAU2017

Starting today, the team at #KLChronicle will be highlighting all the speeches made by top UMNO leaders taking into consideration that the General Election (GE) is just around the corner. This is also the time to ramp up support within party members so that everyone is pumped up to face the opposition.

Quoting an article from The Star;

Ahead of the 14th general election, Tan Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil (pic) has called on Malaysians to cast their votes wisely, saying there were only two choices – the Barisan Nasional-led government with its proven track record or a government led by DAP's Lim Kit Siang.

"Malaysians are faced with two choices. On the right is a government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Barisan. We know Najib's track record and his commitment in taking care of Malaysians.
"On the left is a government that will be led by DAP. Are Malaysians willing to hand over a country that we have built for so long to a chauvinistic leadership?" she said in her opening remarks during the Wanita Umno general assembly 2017 at the Putra World Trade Centre on Wednesday.

The Wanita chief also urged Wanita Umno delegates to come out in full force for the upcoming polls.

"Remember, if we don’t want this to happen, let's stand up together and pledge to work and fight till the end," she said to thunderous applause from delegates.

During her speech, Shahrizat also pledged support for the proposal that the party president and deputy president's posts be uncontested.

She echoed the call made by Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, adding that the proposal was meant to preserve party unity.

For us at #KLChronicle, we also support the call from all the top leaders in UMNO that the party president and deputy president's posts be uncontested.
