Understanding the needs of the public and the ever increasing number of people staying in the Klang Valley,Prasarana Malaysia Bhd has taken a proactive step by beginning construction of the RM9 billion Light Rail Transit Line Three (LRT 3) by the first quarter of 2016, after getting the approval from the authorities namely SPAD and other local plus federal government agencies.
The proposed LRT 3 will connect the Western Corridor of the Klang Valley to the KL City Centre and will be integrated with exisiting and future public transport networks.
Prasarana's managing director Azmi Abdul Aziz said a public display to gather feeback will be held at selected locations from May 15 to August 14 (3 Months) which is in accordance with Section 84 of the Land Public Transport Act 2010.
"The public is encouraged to take this opportunity to provide constructive feedback on the LRT 3.
"Their input is crucial for us to analyse and submit to the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) for their evaluation," he said after a media briefing on the LRT 3.
The 35km line linking Bandar Utama to Johan Setia in Klang would be completed by August 31, 2020.
The proposed alignment and details on LRT 3 can be viewed at seven locations during a three-month period.

The public display will feature the proposed alignment and 25 stations that will be set up along the route.
There will also be 5,000 parking bays located at 10 of the stations, feeder bus services and other amenities for the benefit of the public.
