Tanah Runtuh di Pudu , @MyRapidKL ambil langkah Proaktif

Monorail service between Imbi Monorail Station and Hang Tuah Monorail Station has been suspended until further notice following the collapse of an underground tunnel that was being constructed at the intersection of Jalan Pudu and Jalan Hang Tuah this morning.

Following the partial closure, the monorail service would only operate between the Titiwangsa Monorail Station and Imbi Monorail Station; and between the KL Sentral Monorail Station and Hang Tuah Monorail Station.

RapidKL shuttle bus services are also deployed to accommodate monorail commuters between the KL Sentral and Titiwangsa Monorail Stations.

Frequency of the shuttle buses, however, is highly determined by traffic condition, which had been adversely affected by the incident and the resulting road closure.

Commuters are advised to make alternative plans in view of the road closure.

Those planning to continue their journey on LRT Ampang Line are recommended to exit at the Imbi Monorail Station and take a short walk to the Hang Tuah LRT/ Monorail Station.

The walk is expected to take less than 10 minutes.

Those planning to continue their journey on the LRT Kelana Jaya Line are recommended to take the monorail from Imbi to Bukit Nanas and take a short walk to the Dang Wangi LRT Station.

According to the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Services Department, the tunnel was part of the Pudu underpass project by Kuala Lumpur City Hall.

The Department had also advised RapidKL to temporarily suspend the service between the Hang Tuah Monorail Station and Imbi Monorail Station to avoid further impact to the soil erosion.

However, there is no indication to believe that our structures are affected by the incident. Since the start of the construction of the underpass, the contractors have placed monitoring devices on the monorail piers near the worksite.

DBKL consultants are meeting at site with the contractors, engineers and officers from the Fire and Rescue Services Department to ascertain the current damage and will provide further directions/ recommendation.
