PAS Youth Chief Slams @dapmalaysia and @GobindSinghDeo
PAS Youth leader Nasrudin Hasan Tantawi slammed its Pakatan Rakyat (PR) ally, DAP, alleging that the party had lost hold of Teluk Intan owing to its stand on hudud.
Nasrudin who took to Twitter yesterday, to vent his frustration, sarcastically ‘congratulated’ DAP for its take on hudud which he said has been consistent, adding that this was, however, the cost of the party losing the fiercely battled parliamentary seat on May 31, to Barisan Nasional (BN).
“DAP is over confident and optimistic that it it does not need the support and votes from the Malays, including PAS.
“What is Umno and BN to them (DAP), they can take it down on their own,” Nasrudin posted.
He added that DAP is also well versed on how to get to Putrajaya on its own without PAS’ interference.
“Congratulations once again. Continue with such an attitude. Indirectly helping PAS realise to not interfere in the business of others and supposedly trying to outshine,” he said, citing a Malay proverb to summarise the whole situation which called on them to realise their political stand.
“All, especially the Chinese voters will still staunchly support DAP which would brightern and confirm its chances of seizing Putrajaya,” he said.
In an early assessment after the by-election was over, DAP member of parliament Gobind Singh Deo pointed fingers at PAS Hudud agenda as being the key reason why DAP lost Teluk Intan.
He said that compared with the national polls in May last year, whereby 80% of the electorate had turned up to vote, only 66.7% came out to cast their ballots this time round which proves that Pakatan Rakyat supporters are upset with PR on the Hudud agenda being propagated by PAS.
He said that the majority who did not vote at the polls were largely pro-opposition from outisde Teluk Intan.
