| The few smart one's in PAS |
Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, who is the executive director of PAS Research Centre today whacked YTL's Tan Sri Francis Yeoh for being a hypocrite in urging an end of "capital capitalism". I can understand Dr Dzul's frustration with Francis Yeoh as YTL has been the beneficiary of various government contracts throughout the years but now it (YTL) seems to bite the hands that was feeding it. I would like to quote what Dr Dzul wrote in The Malaysian Insider:
To make it worse, the recent comment by Tan Sri Francis Yeoh urging an end of "capital capitalism" seems both weird and unbecoming as well as hollow. Many perceive that he has outwardly contradicted his own rise in the power sector and, more importantly, his current attempt at securing the project deal 4A deal through connections with the royalty.
I am very pleased to note that even opposition leaders think that the comments made by Francis Yeoh is WEIRD, UNBECOMING & HOLLOW. It clearly shows that the political leaders, both the Government and Opposition has had enough of YTL and Francis Yeoh. However, i would like to share with Dr Dzul that recently YTL Power International Berhad will acquire 60% of Bumiputra company Konsortium Jaringan Melayu Sdn Bhd from Selangor's Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad (KDEB) and Ingress Software Sdn Bhd. Dr Dzul would want to check with his counterparts to ensure no "hanky panky" is involved in the deal :)
