The six are wanted for serious offences such as murder, shooting, gang rivalry, armed robbery and child abduction.
The act of violence committed by these six criminals shocked the nation as police formed a special task-force team to hunt them down. Police are also working closely with Interpol as some of the suspects are believed to have fled the country.
These blatant criminals, some wanted by police since 2012, are armed and dangerous.
Kuala Lumpur CID chief ACP Gan Kong Meng yesterday called for the public’s assistance to help track down these criminals as the search for them intensifies.
“We will continue to hunt them down until we succeed,” said Gan.
“We have not closed any of the cases. We urge members of the public to work with us and help us find these criminals.”
1) Lim Yuen Soo, 53 (wanted since 2013)
Lim was alleged to be the mastermind behind the high-profile murder of Arab-Malaysian Development Bank founder Hussain Ahmad Najadi on July 29 last year. Ahmad Najadi was shot dead at point blank at a parking area near the Kuan Yin Temple in Lorong Ceylon. The gunman, later identified as Kong Swee Kwan, also shot Ahmad Najadi’s wife Cheong Mei Kuen, 49.
On Sept 22, police arrested Kong but believed Lim had gone into hiding in Australia. Despite Interpol’s assistance, Lim’s whereabouts remain unknown.
2) P. Saravanan, 34 (wanted since 2012)
Saravanan is one of four suspects linked to the murder of two bouncers — Mohd Akmal Gemain and Mohd Nor Firdaus — who were shot dead outside Madurai Club at Jalan Doraisamy on Aug 26, 2012.
Saravanan was believed to have shot the bouncers, both 21, when a fight ensued after Saravanan and his friends were not allowed into the entertainment outlet after its operating hours at 4.30am.
The bouncers sustained gunshot wounds in the head and chest and were pronounced dead at Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
3) Jang Yin Jian, 26 (wanted since 2012)
Jang masterminded the kidnapping of 12-year-old Nayati Shamelin Moodliar.
The Mont Kiara International School student was seen forced into a car by two men while walking to school at 7.30am on April 27, 2012.
News of his abduction in the upscale neighbourhood went viral on social media. Even the kidnappers used Facebook to contact Nayati’s parents and demand a ransom.
Nayati was released six days later at the Sungai Buloh rest and recreation area after his family paid the RM300,000 ransom.
Three men, Chong Tat Siong, 23; Foong Khar Fai, 19; and Lee Phak Seng, 23, were nabbed a week after the ransom was paid and were charged for kidnapping on May 22. The money was never recovered.
Police later learnt the money is with Jang, who planned to use it to get married in Europe.
4) Lee Yun Kong, 59 (wanted since 2011)
Lee is linked to a shooting incident at a restaurant in Jinjang in March, 2011. His last known address is No 15, Jalan SJ 25, Taman Selayang Jaya, Selangor.
5) K.P. Udzea Kumaran, 52 (wanted since 2010)
Police have been looking for him since June 2010 for his alleged involvement in an abduction case at Old Klang Road. His last known address was No 46, Jalan Rumbia 16, Taman Daya, Johor Baru.
6) Ngai Chan Hong, 35 (wanted since 2008)
The notorious “Tomei Gang” was linked to a spate of jewellery store heists in the Klang Valley. Ngai was the leader of the gang and had been on the police’s radar since the arrest of four of his gang members between August and September 2008.
Ngai was described as armed and dangerous. He was also linked to the murder of one of his gang members, identified as Bee Lee.
Bee Lee, whose role was to survey jewellery shops and plan heists before giving the gang the go-ahead to strike, was shot dead at Taman Sungai Besi on August 6, 2008.
His death was initially classified as suicide but police investigations later linked Ngai to Bee Lee’s death, leading police to reopen the case under murder.
