Referring to the article by The Malaysian Insider yesterday which can be look at HERE, i would like to ask Anwar Ibrahim what was the offer made to Jeremy Malajad for him to quit PKR? The allegations made by Anwar Ibrahim is very serious as it has a direct impact to the integrity of an elected representative of the rakyat. I am also very sure most of the readers would like to know how much Jeremy was paid to jump ship (if we were to believe Anwar Ibrahim).
The full article can be referred below:
As rumours swirled about more Sabah PKR leaders jumping ship, Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim suggested that those planning to do so were after “benefits” from the other side.
Last Friday, Matunggong assemblyman Datuk Jelani Hamdan quit as Sabah PKR vice-chairman.
Jelani reportedly said he could not work with state party chief Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin, and that he was not sure of the status of his PKR membership application.
Jelani also spoke out on the unhappiness with the manner the Kadazandusun Murut and Rungus communities were sidelined in the party.
His departure followed Kadamaian assemblyman Jeremy Malajad's resignation from PKR Sabah to be a Barisan Nasional-friendly independent.
Anwar pointed out that Jelani's wife was made a local Umno Wanita chief last week.
As for Jeremy, he had been courted since since the 13th general election, said Anwar.
"The offer was too attractive," he added.
Their resignations are said to be a prelude to an exodus of disgruntled members from PKR in Sabah.
Anwar however dismissed such a speculation, saying Lajim had already briefed PKR about the recent defections and promised to rejuvenate the party.
"I have received a report from Lajim. He was in Kuala Lumpur yesterday to brief us and has been assigned to rejuvenate the party there.
"Things have been brewing up and it is anticipated but they (Sabah PKR) must remember they got their mandate from the rakyat on the PKR ticket," Anwar told reporters in Seberang Jaya, today.
Anwar also denied there was a leadership problem, saying no disciplinary complaints had been lodged.
"There is no case against them at all. This is something created by the Umno media," he said.
He also blamed Jeremy's inteference for the troubles.
"Jeremy wanted the post (of state party chief) but the majority wanted Lajim," he said.
Anwar also dismissed speculations that 12 division heads would quit.
"It is not a great concern because not many would leave. I met with them.
"Only two or three were absent but the rest turned up for a meeting with me recently," said the Permatang Pauh MP. - November 10, 2013.
