After 37 Deaths, Syed Hamid Albar MUST Now Resign from SPAD #KLChronicle

Syed Hamid Albar SPAD

Previously i had wrote an article and released to all web portals such as The Mole and Malaysia Digest in expressing my disappointment with the performance of Suruhanjaya Pengangkutan Awam Darat (SPAD) and it's chairman Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar. [PLEASE READ HERE] .

The main gist of my article was on how the express buses was managed during the Hari Raya holidays, together with touts who were cheating and selling ticket prices at an exorbitant price to the rakyat. However, what i am about to write today is nothing compared to what i wrote previously against SPAD and it's chairman.

"Firstly, i would like to offer my sincere condolences to all the family members who lost someone they loved yesterday in the tragic accident at Genting Highland. My prayers are with them and their families"

Back to the incident yesterday at Genting Highland. There are two (2) main issues that i would highlight and i want SPAD and it's media team to response. The items are below:

Status of the Bus

Reading through The Malaysian Insider today i am sad and shocked to find out that the ill-fated bus was actually blacklisted and deemed not worthy to travel. I am sure most of you would now want to know is SPAD really responsible for the safety of passengers? The answer is a big YES. A look at SPAD website will show us the following:

Look at paragraph 2, line number 3 which i had underlined, SPAD is responsible to ensure a safe, reliable, efficient, responsive, accessible, planned, intergrated and sustainable land transport system. The word SAFE and RELIABLE was not there when this bus plunge into the ravine and killed 37 people including the bus driver. To make things worse, this was one of the comments by the survivor:

Nur Syamimi Ja'afar, 25, said she clearly noticed that it was an old, dilapidated bus with bald tyres. (Reference - BERNAMA)

So to Syed Hamid Albar & SPAD, this is my first query, please  take the time to response. To the rakyat who worry about their family lives and who depends on land public transport, please share this article and pressure SPAD to response. This is not personal and is only for the betterment of the Rakyat.

Is it not Rakyat Didahulukan & Pencapaian Diutamakan?
