BN names Tengku Zaihan for Kuala Besut, PAS Still Undecided on its Candidate #KLChronicle

Engineer Tengku Zaihan Che Ku Abdul Rahman, 37, is the Barisan Nasional candidate for the Kuala Besut by-election.
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin made the announcement this afternoon over RTM1.


The by-election is being held following the death of Dr A. Rahman Mokhtar who won the seat with a 2,434 majority by beating Napisah Ismail of PAS.
Barisan Nasional won 17 of the 32 Terengganu state seats while Pakatan Rakyat obtained 15.
PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang is expected to announce the party's choice tonight.
Among the front-runners are businessman Azlan Yusof, 48, PAS Syura Council secretary Nik Zawawi Salleh and PAS Besut chief Wan Azhar Wan Ahmad. - July 9, 2013.
