SHAH ALAM, Nov 2 — The police have arrested three suspects aged between 22 and 28 in connection with the attempted murder of Kepong Umno Youth chief Datuk Norizan Ali.
The first and second suspects, who were night club bouncers, were caught at the Sentul East Light Rail Transit (LRT) station and a flat in Ampang at 4.45 pm and 6.40 pm yesterday.
This led to the arrest a 28-year-old broker known as "Wak", who was believed to be the mastermind, at a house in Taman Bidara at 8.15pm on the same day.
Selangor police chief Datuk Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah said with the arrests, the police believed the case had been solved and investigation papers would be submitted to the deputy public prosecutor.
He said a machete believed to be used in the attack was found in a drain in the vicinity of the house of the third suspect at 2.05 pm today.

The police have classified the case as an attempted murder under Section 207 of the Penal Code, he said, adding that a grudge harboured by one of the suspects was believed to be the motive.
