PTPTN SHOULD CONTINUE SUSPENDING LOAN TO UNISEL - @mediaumno

There has been much talk this week regarding the issue of PTPTN suspending its loan to Unisel student. I personally agree with Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin on this matter. Echoing his statement:

" PTPTN wants to determine how serious the opposition is in wanting to provide free education. If it is serious, then students in state-owned private institutes of higher learning like Unisel need not apply for study loans from PTPTN because education will be provided free to them," he said.

Khaled had also referred to the matter on his Twitter account on Tuesday night, suggesting that Unisel scrap its student fees to "fulfil" PR's and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's promise to offer free education for all and to abolish PTPTN should it come to power."

The statement from the respected minister is timely and I hope the rakyat would not jump the gun and attack the government. However, I am disgust with opposition leader Lim Kit Siang statement that the suspension of PTPTN is a breach of public trust.

The fact is that the government is actually assisting the PR led state goverment in implementing its policies I.e. "Free Education" . Therefore why is Lim Kit Siang so worried?

Is he worried because the Selangor and PR led government is UNABLE to fulfill its promises and this was all just a LIE to win in the next General Election?

My challenge to Pakatan Rakyat is start fulfilling your promises. The rakyat now wants to know your capabilities. Now is not the time to talk and walk, but walk the talk!
