Important Announcement by PRASARANA Cc @MyRapidKL @AzmiAziz60

With the opening of the LRT Line Extension tomorrow (30 June), commuters taking the Kelana Jaya Line will be able to travel from Gombak to Putra Heights.

Pending the deployment of the new KLAV trains in January 2017, the Kelana Jaya Line trains would alternately make a turnaround at the Ara Damansara Station during the morning and evening peak hours between 7am to 9am, and 5pm to 7pm, to cater the peak hour crowd to and fro the city centre.

“Commuters from the Kuala Lumpur city center heading towards Putra Heights may need to disembark at Ara Damansara Station to continue with their journey, depending on the trip that they are travelling on.

“We seek the support and understanding of our customers to bear with this temporary inconvenience until the new KLAV trains are deployed.

“We would put up signages and make announcements at our platforms and onboard our trains to guide our customers in their travels,” Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd’s CEO, Ahmad Nizam Mohamed Amin said.

Ahmad Nizam added that temporarily trains travelling between Ara Damansara and Gombak would maintain a headway or waiting time of approximately three minutes, and due to the alternate trips, the headway between Ara Damansara and Putra Heights would be twice of that.

The LRT Line Extension Project (LEP) will be officially opened by Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak tomorrow afternoon. Operations, however, commenced at 6am.
