Dato Seri S. @VellPaari : PM @NajibRazak was consistent all along

Press Statement By
Dato Seri S.Vell Paari
Treasurer General
Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC)

With reference to the recent statement made by Prime Minister Dato Seri Haji Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak and the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report on 1MDB, it has finally been concluded that RM 42 billion is not missing from 1MDB, as had been alleged. In fact, PAC vice-chairman from DAP Dr Tan Seng Giaw says the Prime Minister should not be held accountable over the dealings by 1MDB.

The DAP's Kepong MP said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was not involved in the company’s dealings as he was just a chairman of the advisory board.

These report by PAC on 1MDB together with The Wall Street Journal (WAJ) confirming that funds donated to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak came from Saudi Arabia confirms what Prime Minister Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak has maintained all along.

I hope this will bring an end to all the baseless and grave accusation by certain individuals who have been going around (both local and internationally)  in condemning the Prime Minister and also calling for his resignation.

Emphasis should now be on why these individuals were bent on disrupting and destroying the harmony of Malaysia. These unscrupulous acts by them under the pretence of " Saving Malaysia " cannot be treated lightly. It's a new age terrorism called information terrorism.

Using unfounded information on 1MDB and Saudi donation as a propaganda tool to sabotage Malaysia's economy and political stability. Clearly a criminal act of treason to destabilise the country by creating tension and anger among Malaysians, in turn hoping for them to take to the streets to bring down a democratically elected Prime Minister.

I call upon the police to expedite their investigation on all those involved in this act of treason. It is very important that these saboteurs involved in activities which are detrimental to parliamentary democracy is brought to justice swiftly.

In my opinion the Barisan Nasional government has for far too long tolerated this nonsense from these saboteurs and it is time to put a full stop to it once and for all.
