Previously this news portal broke the news that Dato Seri S. Vell Paari was going for a Deputy President post in the coming MIC Elections. However, we have been reliably informed that Dato Seri S. Vell Paari will now only contest the Central Working Committee (CWC) in the coming party elections. This is for the greater good of MIC and to ensure the party stays united to prepare for the next General Election.
Based on the press statement that was released, Dato Seri S. Vell Paari decided to go for a CWC seat to maintain party solidarity and unity where his (Dato Seri S. Vell Paari) need does not outweigh the need of MIC and the community. We at #KLChronicle, although saddened by this news will continue to support Dato Seri in his bid to obtain a CWC seat in the party.
Based on his past experience and also current post as the MIC Communications and Public Relations Chief, Dato Seri S. Vell Paari will be a great asset for MIC to move forward and reclaim lost support from the Indian community. In this age, the usage of social media and tackling issues heads on are the requirements for any good leader. Playing safe is no more an option for the leaders of this country.
To that effect, Dato Seri S Vell Paari has done a good job. He is actively involved in twitter via his account (@Vellpaari) and also engage the media via his press statements on issues that is of public interest. This kind of an engaging leader is what MIC needs for it to move forward. We sincerely hope that the delegates and MIC grassroots members will give their full support to Dato Seri S. Vell Paari in his bid to win a CWC seat.
