Now Rogue Leaders in MIC trying to sabotage Party President Datuk Seri G Palanivel, He Needs Grassroot Support

We at the #KLChronicle are very angry and dissapointed with the current political situation in Malaysia Indian Congress (MIC), a key ally in the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. MIC for the past few months has been facing a lot of problems particularly from elements within the party itself which is trying to destabilise the party for a few leaders political gain.

We were made aware by our sources within the party that there are now some rogue leaders who is attempting to sabotage all decision made by Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri G. Palanivel. This started when rogue elements within the party started to question the decision made by Datuk Seri G. Palanivel as party president, in particular his right to appoint the party Secretary General and interference by the Registar of Societies (ROS) in internal party (MIC) matters.

It has to be made clear to the grassroot members of MIC that as stated under Articles 46.5 and 49 of the MIC Constitution the party President (Datuk Seri G. Palanivel) has absolute rights as President of MIC. This means he can appoint anyone he deem fit to hold positions in the party and he can dismissed anyone that he thinks is detrimental to party success.

In addition, we would like to remind critics of Datuk Seri G. Palanivel that the party president was duly elected by a whopping 96 percentage of branch chairman. It shows that the President has sufficient grassroot support to maintain his hold on the position of party President IF an election is call.

We at the #KLChronicle would also like to hit out at ROS for their double standard in dealing with party election issues. If we remember correctly, the scam DAP election that happened two (2) years ago has not been properly investigated and NO action has been taken by ROS. However, why is there an apparent urgency by ROS to "investigate and punish" MIC but not DAP? This has to be looked into very seriously.
