What a Joke from @simtzetzin

Bayan Baru Member of Parliament (MP) Sim Tze Tzin today revealed that PKR is setting up a Higher Education Appeal Panel to assist school-leavers from low income groups to further their studies. Although the announcement is good for this school-leavers, Sim Tze Tzin has not disclosed how will the Higher Education Appeal Panel assist this student?

It is easy to promise things, as what PKR is fond of doing but i hope PKR does not again lie to the rakyat just to get some political mileage. The government has started to assist school-leavers from low income groups since the 1960's by setting up MARA, IKBN, Vocational Schools and what not. On the issue of many SPM and STPM students from lower-income groups did not get into institutions of higher learning, Sim Tze Tzin did not disclose HOW MANY are they? I can only assume this is again another propaganda/drama by PKR to deflect issues from its current internal squabbling for power in the party and Selangor.

PKR today said it is setting up a Higher Education Appeal Panel to assist school-leavers from low-income groups to further their studies.

Bayan Baru MP Sim Tze Tzin said there were many SPM and STPM students from lower-income groups who did not get into institutions of higher learning.

"Every year between March and June, there are many anxious parents and students waiting to hear whether they have been accepted into local universities.

"Many a time, the spotlight is only focused on excellent students who have failed to get into a university of their choice or to pursue the course of their choice.

"However, students from poor families normally slip below the radar and are left with no options for further studies opportunities," said Sim (pic, top right). – April 23, 2014.
