A response to John Lee

Mr. John Lee (JL) has just published an article in the Malaysian Insider titled "Barisan is arrogant and drunk for power". I think our beloved JL, who is a third-year student of economics at Dartmouth College in the United States should not comment on such an issue when he is so far abroad. Let me just refresh his memory a little bit post March 8 2008 when the oppostion won big in the elections. I remember a certain opposition leader, who toured the country countless time telling the people that he was going to form the goverment on September 16 2008 with the defection of MP's from the ruling coalition.

So who is actually arrogant and drunk for power. Granted the opposition won 5 states, the people voted for you in those states. Therefore handle those state well. Work for the people regardless of ethnicity, profesion and political background. Of those 5 assemblymen that became independent, I dont think UMNO or BN should ever accept them into any of the coalition parties. It would do more harm then good because it will create infighting in the UMNO divisions on who should be the candidate for the coming elections. I

ronically 4 of the assemblymen that became independant are all of 1 ethnic, why is that?are this people easily bribed or because they are fed up being in PR due to some unknown reasons. On the suggestion that Barisan should wait for the PR to convene the state assembly and then pass a solution of no confidence in wishful thinking. What if PR does not allow Barisan to do that by ignoring a resolution the be passed? But i do agree that a fresh election should be carried out in Perak so that the people can vote again for the goverment that they prefer. Whoever loses should accept defeat graciously and prepare for the GE.

Perak Fiasco

The former Perak State Assembly Speaker V Sivakumar has again started his infamous drama. As previous sittings of the Perak State Assembly, he has again alleged that he was punched, choked and manhandled by the police. Sometimes i really pity those police officers who have to entertain this nonsense from the opposition state assembly members. Furthermore, according to a statement by former perak menteri besar DS Nizar, “During the struggle with the police,

Sivakumar managed to hang on to the collar of the speaker’s robe. There was a threat to the life of the speaker,” DS Nizar also stated that there is a video footage of the alleged assault and i hope he shares it with all Malaysian so that we can make our own conclusions. From now im sure the members of the public will be able to come to a conclusion on who behaved like idiots and who really wanted the state assembly to run smoothly according to the state regulations. From the article posted on Lim Kit Siang's blog by Humayun Kabir, it showed that PR assemblymen came out twice to complain to the press about the treatment they were getting from the police.

You see the pattern here, they are trying to show that they are the victims and they need the press to show that, but then we have a PKR MP who blames the media for his party problems. As a conclusion from all this rubbish that is happening in Perak and the county. One of the lesson that can be learnt about Pakatan Rakyat is:

"Use the Alternative media when you need them & bash them when they don't support you" - Pakatan Rakyat

The Perak State Assembly

I am baffled by the way both the BN and PR parties conduct themselves in today State Assembly sitting. The BN government it seems is more interested in prohibiting the PR representative from entering the building than tabling their budget. But congrats to Dato Seri Zambry for observing a minute of silence in respect for the children that was killed during the incident in kampar.

This shows that DS Zambry takes note of events in the state. The PR leaders are more interested in creating scenes after scenes to ensure that they still have the people support. Isn't it better if they just get into the hall and sit for the sitting of the assembly. Be it on the opposition side. They have to remember that they are elected by the rakyat for the rakyat. So get in the hall, listen to the budget and debate it. If you dont agree with the budget make it clear in the assembly or a do a press conference after that to explain your arguments to the public.period.
